New range of Zetor Proxima Power tractors

AN electro-hydraulic Powershuttle which allows direction changes without the need to depress the clutch pedal is a major feature in a brand new range of Proxima tractors from Zetor.

Known as the Proxima Power versions, the three models – the 85 (99hp), 95 (105hp) and 105 (109hp), also differ in that the two-stage 16x16 powershift included in the Proxima Plus versions has been replaced by the well-known Triplo-Power three-stage powershift (24fx24r) from the larger Forterra models.

A three-stage powershift transmission and electro-hydraulic Powershuttle are major features of the new range of Zetor Proxima Power tractors.

All three models are powered by new Stage 3a compliant Zetor engines. Otherwise, the rest of the technical specification and exterior styling is the same as the current Proxima Plus tractors.

Currently in the homologation phase, the tractors are expected to go on same in March, when they will also be supported by a larger 115 (120hp) model.

Other Zetor news concerns the long-awaited Maxterra and the possibility of an Agritechnica launch in November next year, with availability from Q1 2010.

Although the details are sketchy, we can confirm that a Maxterra 165 was recently previewed to a group of European dealers.

Powered by a six-cylinder Zetor engine, the rear axle is not the only ZF input as it is suggested that the 24fx24r transmission, with a 40fx40r option, also comes from ZF.
