New lightweight plough from Kverneland
The VR light-weight plough from Kverneland was first seen as a prototype at Agritechnica in 2007 but is now complete and will enter full production in 2010.
It is available as a three, four or five furrow reversible and can be used on tractors up to 130hp and requires a lift capacity of only 3,600kg. Furrow width can be altered from 14 to 20in.
To reduce the plough’s weight the legs are similar to that used on the CLC cultivator and the main beam is made from 150mm by 150mm box section. The VR uses the 130 headstock and is only available with shear bolt protection but an auto-reset version may be developed.
This plough was also fitted with the new skimmers that have a detent on the leg so only one bolt is needed to fix them in place.
