Lights out for grey squirrels
THE introduction of fine engineering tolerances to mass-produced equipment has enabled E Skinns Agricultural Engineers to develop a highly effective squirrel trap that kills the rodents outright.
The self-assembly kit is produced from stainless steel, laser-cut components and its killing ability is claimed to be maintained regardless of adverse weather conditions.

Called the Superior Squirrel Trap, it operates with a spring activated percussion plate that kills the rodent outright, says the firm, when it enters the trap baited with peanut butter.
Expect the device to cost £50.

News that land is expected to reach almost £50,000/hectare (£20,000/acre) by 2020 is a double-edged sword for the farming industry – and for our PR beyond it.
