A reduced entry, but nevertheless over 200 head, were presented for sale at Beeston Castle Auction’s, Cheshire, mid-month sale of Holsteins. Top price was £1,460 for a fresh heifer by Al-Nure Bellwood Sparky from J.K. and T. Rigby, Isycoed, Wrexham, who also had another by the same bull selling at £1,450 and two other heifers at £1,340 and £1,300.
