Somerset YFC raise £30,000 for charity

The impressive figure is down to the efforts of members from YFC clubs across the county, who have hosted a series of fun and practical events.

Fundraisers have ranged from the traditional ploughing matches, barn dances and winter ball, to sponsored bike rides, car washes, an auction of promises, quizzes and carol singing.

The charities include schools, churches, breast cancer and cancer research charities, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, farming support charity RABI, Bath Hospital and Musgrove Park Hospital.
