NFYFC unveils new cheif exec

The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) has announced Diane Calvert as their new chief executive.

Following a restructure of the national rural youth organisation, Diane joins NFYFC from her own company, where she has for the past four years been undertaking project work with various companies and organisations in both operational and strategic management roles.

As a previous chief executive officer of a national women’s charity, she has also undertaken work in a special governance project for the Youth Hostels Association.

Acting chairman of the NFYFC board of management Chris Lloyd said: “As part of the restructuring of the organisation, the CEO’s role was split into separate operational and strategic functions which will enable the federation to focus on its future development.

“Diane’s appointment as CEO is the final stage of the process and NFYFC is delighted to welcome her to lead the strategic direction of the federation. Her experience and knowledge make her an ideal choice for this ambassadorial role with NFYFC.”

Diane, who lives in Sutton Coldfield, will take up her new duties on June 1 and joins the NFYFC’s board of management.

James Eckley, who has been chief executive officer since June 2007, continues to head the operational management of the organisation.
