World Sheepdog Trials come to England

THE fourth World Sheepdog Trials will be held in England for the first time at Lowther Park Estate, near Penrith, Cumbria, from September 15-18, 2011.

The debut English World Trials will cost about £200,000 to stage. Public appeal will be boosted with a Food and Country Festival promoting locally-produced food and crafts.

Organisation is in the hands of a local committee of the International Sheep Dog Society, headed by English president and trialist Tim Longton, of Quernmore, Lancaster, who has been English brace champion four times and reserve English national champion on three occasions.
