Welsh indoor sheepdog trial to go ahead
THE indoor trial in the hall at Pontrhydfendigaid, Ceredigion, which proved such a success last year, is to be staged again this year, from 5pm on Saturday, February 27.
The slight teething troubles, of last year have been overcome, and organisers hope the trial will be ongoing. The course for this year’s event, for which there will be 30 invited competitors, has been slightly altered but will retain the South Wales style.
The pressures on the sheep, dogs and handlers will be different to those in open trial fields, which should make the occasion exciting for spectators, who will be changed a small entrance fee.
The Aberceiro Hill Trial will not take place this year, but work is in progress to organise a hill trial at a different venue later this year.
