NORTHUMBERLAND took the trophy in a close inter-club contest on Sunday, beating the Northern Association by just two points.

Double victory for Michael Shearer at Reiss
MICHAEL Shearer came out of his Northern winter’s isolation and won both the nursery and older dogs trials at Reiss, having two remarkably similar runs of exceptionally high quality with two very different dogs.
Paul Turnbull’s Roy is top of the League
AT the Northumberland League’s concluding nursery held on Sunday at Whitfield, Paul Turnbull won the trial with Roy.

A STEADY run on sheep which were unsettled on strange ground gave Ian McMillan’s Fern an 18 point margin over the field at the first of two trials at Glenluce.
