Celebrities back farm charity
IT seems rural celebrities are hoping to do for charity what famous chefs have done for local produce.
Matt Baker and Adam Henson, presenters on the BBC’s Countryfile, will be donning their walking boots to raise money for Farm Crisis Network and, in the process, also hope to raise the profile of upland farming issues.
The duo will join 100 other walkers on the hills in Upper Wharfedale in North Yorkshire on May 22.
Tenant farmer, Adam Henson, says he welcomed the chance to support the charity’s work. “Farming has many rewards but a lot of farmers also suffer from the effects of stress, remoteness and long days.
“When you add to this the complexity of regulations, dealing with animal diseases and low returns, we need organisations like Farm Crisis Network for those in need of help through difficult times.”

There is a well known saying, 'no pain, no gain' and that will be ringing true in the minds of Milk Link’s 1,600 producers, who are on the brink of reaping just reward for 12 years of loyalty and investment.
