Fearnley-Whittingstall to present Organic Food Awards
TV chef and animal welfare campaigner Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall will hand out the Organic Food Awards at this year’s annual Soil Association Organic Food Festival in Bristol.
The awards will showcase the very best in organic food and drink from the UK, and will be decided by 58 expert judges - including chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and nutritionists.
A blind tasting of some 600 products will take place before the awards are presented at a ceremony in Bristol on Saturday, September 11.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall said: “It is a pleasure to be handing out the Organic Food Awards this year to such devoted and deserving producers. And of course most of all I look forward to sampling their fantastic produce.”

There is a well known saying, 'no pain, no gain' and that will be ringing true in the minds of Milk Link’s 1,600 producers, who are on the brink of reaping just reward for 12 years of loyalty and investment.

the thing is, how much animal cruelty has gone on on organic farms, letting animals suffer for the sake of a principal? how much of the food at this festival is actually organic i.e no cheating? very little I would suggest. Being orgnaic is like being a little bit pregnant - there aint no such thing. Sooner rather than later ,the whole organic sham is going to be blown out of the water. It is as unsustainable as factory farming and the sooner both are consigned to history the better, then everyone can farm with high animal welfare, in harmony with the environment and profitably.

Since when were animals and humans supposed to eat a cocktail of chemicals?
