Businessman’s 996-mile charity stint
RURAL business consultant Guy Banham has recently completed a John O’Groats to Land’s End cycle trip – raising more than £6,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Guy, who works for Samuel Rose, travelled up to Scotland from Northamptonshire with a group of friends in a mini-bus loaned by Harper Adams Agricultural College.
Champagne finish
It took 13 days to complete the 996-mile ride and they celebrated with champagne and a swim in the sea at Sennen Cove, Cornwall.
The keen athlete has already completed the Bath half- marathon and continues his hat-trick of fundraising events with the Great North Run next month.
