Cheggers begins search for Chip Tune 2010
TV legend Keith Chegwin has called on the British public to provide inspiration for a song to celebrate National Chip Week 2010.
Following the success of last year’s ‘Cheggers Chip Tune’, the Potato Council has invited the public to nominate a song to be performed by Chegwin as National Chip Week draws to a close.
The TV presenter has already penned a song for this year’s event, a parody of Tom Jones’ ‘It’s Not Unusual’ but will perform the winning nomination at the presentation of the Perfect Portion award.

The award, presented every year, is given to the winning chip shop chosen from nominations received by the public.

The 2009 Chip Tune was a hit which saw National Chip Week receive widespread coverage across the UK, with appearances on Radio 1's Chris Moyles Breakfast Show as well as a host of local radio stations up and down the country.
