New Queenslander breed highlight of Australian sale
A NEW breed of bull, the Queenslander, was the highlight of this year’s annual PGA Kimberley Division bos indicus bull sale, where the top price of $12,000 (£6,870) was reached for one from the Muan Brahman stud.
Four Queenslander bulls averaged $8,625 (£4,942). The Queenslander is a combination of Red Brahman and Droughtmaster genetics. Overall, 38 Droughtmaster bulls were sold for an average of $2,882 (£1,650) and 44 Red Brahmans averaged $2,909 (£1,666).
