Tillage Live 2011: Xeos joins the Sulky drill line up
UK machinery importer Reco demonstrated the latest addition to its Sulky range of drills.
Called the Xeos, this power harrow drill combination is now available with uni-discs, culti-discs or Suffolk coulters, designated MD, HD or the Pro versions, which can exert up to 80kg of pressure per disc.
The power harrow’s assistance enables the drill to work in a variety of conditions, including ploughed, min-till and direct into stubble, it says.
The Xeos features Sulky’s central volumetric metering system with its adjustable distribution system. Marketing manager Dora Lillywhite says calibration accuracy has increased to within two per cent.
The drills are available in 3m, 3.5m and 4m working widths, with a choice of mechanical or hydraulic fans. Metering is either mechanical or electrical via RDS control box, and it has hopper capacities between 1,000 litres and 1,800l suitable for sowing rape, wheat, barley, peas and beans.
