Tillage Live 2011: Maschio Alitalia unveiled on the UK stage

This three metre drill is mounted on top of the power harrow’s packer roller, instead of the usual head-stock mounting, allowing it to follow contours better, says Opico managing director James Woolway.

It features a Quick Match system, enabling the drill to be quickly attached or detached from the harrow. As standard, it comes with a 1,500 litre hopper with the option of a 2,000l version.

The Alitalia can either have two rows of single disc coulters, or three rows of Suffolk coulters. It is aimed as farmers and contractors with high acreages to cover, says Mr Woolway, and will be available from the beginning of November.
