Precision Farming: Mobile base station now standard
SBG precision farming equipment, distributed through Yorkshire-based RTK Solutions, now includes a mobile RTK base station.
The base station can be fastened to a gate post or other fixed object via a twist-lock mechanism to allow repeatable accuracy to within 250mm. With an open signal, there are no subscription fees to pay, says RTK Solutions.
The battery-powered outfit costs £7,000 and comes in its own weatherproof hard carry case complete with 12-volt battery and trickle charger.
