Parts and maintenance: Cooling system vacuum purge and refill kit
THIS universal refill kit has been developed by Draper Tools to prevent air locks and avoid time-consuming bleeding of cooling systems.
Once the kit has been attached to an expansion tank using any of the five adapters supplied, an airline is connected to the venturi valve to collapse hoses and create a vacuum inside the cooling system. As the vacuum is released, pre-mixed coolant can be drawn back into the system.
The kit allows cooling systems to be thoroughly purged, says the company, ensuring safe operation at engine start-up.
