CTF Contact 2000 weed wiper
LOGIC developed the Contact 2000 to tackle common pasture weeds such as docks, thistles and nettles, with the added ‘aggression’ required for reeds and bracken.
A ground wheel-driven bristle brush applies herbicide to the plants it comes into contact with, while the bristlescomb up and through the vegetation.
This is claimed to ensure herbicide penetrates the leaves and stems of the plant.
A spray bar applies herbicide, such as Grazon 90, Asulox or Roundup, to the brush, while a pulse pump meters chemicals to match weed density. A simple controller allows flow to be stopped or altered.
Offered in 1.5 and 2.5m trailed models which can be towed in gangs of up to 7.5m widths, the CFT range is priced from £2,060 and £2,275 for 1.5m and 2.5m variants, complete with chemical control system.
