Lamma 2012: Mobile hopper with integrated auger
LOADING grain on to lorries can strain resources in a busy harvest, says Quivogne, so the Perard Trans-eXpress could come in useful, as it is easy to shift between sites.
A mobile hopper with integrated unloading auger which allows grain to be tipped and fed into waiting lorries without resorting to a loading shovel, the Trans-eXpress comes in three models - the 500R, designed to be towed by a 4x4, the tractor-towed 500T and the 500B, moved via a telehandler or on a low loading trailer.
The 500m diameter auger folds out hydraulically to work at a height of 4.9m and the Trans-eXpress is said to clear a 20-tonne trailer load in three to four minutes. Prices are from £25,955.
