Volkswagen Amarok prices revealed

Prices extend upwards from £16,995 for Startline models, £18,995 for the Trendline, while the range-topping Highline costs from £21,575.

All models get the 163hp Bi-Turbo two-litre TDi, though Startline models can be specified with a 122hp Tdi engine. 4Motion Selectable four-wheel drive gives all Amaroks a payload over 1,045kg, allowing VAT to be reclaimed.

However business users should avoid the 4Motion Permanent version - while the ride quality is improved, says VW, the payload is reduced by enough of a margin that this model falls below the VAT reclaim threshold.
