Apache offers something different
If you want something away from the more usual ATV manufacturers then Apache Quads can offer just that. The company has just launched its new Apache RLX 400 two-wheel drive machine to the market, and it surprises in the specification stakes.
With a 360cc four-stroke OHV engine, the RLX 400 offers a bit more poke than the company’s existing RLX 320 Utility model and offers excellent standard features.
These include a front winch, two-range automatic transmission with reverse, all-round disc brakes, plus front and rear loads racks. A very comprehensive features list indeed.
For lighter duties and when shallow terrain is to be encountered, a two-wheel drive ATV is fine, and the RLX 400 weighs in at only 259kg so it should be nimble for most jobs around the farm or estate. If you need to go on the road, the RLX 400 can be fitted with all of the necessary legal equipment.
The new model is priced at £3,300 plus VAT, and Apache says there is a four-wheel drive version coming early 2010.
