John Deere leads in 2008 tractor sales
IT takes a year for the official AEA tractor registrations by brand to come out.
And 2008’s show that John Deere again leads the way in the UK market with 5,613 units or 30.2 per cent.
CNH, which counts New Holland and Case IH, took 25 per cent, while Agco’s three mainline tractor brands of Massey Ferguson, Valtra and Fendt took 15.7, 3.2 and 2.6 per cent respectively, or 21.5 per cent overall for the group (Massey Ferguson figures include Challenger).
Other manufacturers, including Claas, SDF and AgriArgo, achieved 5.1, 4.7 and 4.5 per cent each.
