Farmers on Dairy Crest liquid formula contract to see 0.142p rise

FARMERS supplying Dairy Crest (DC) on a liquid formula contract will see an increase in milk price of 0.142 pence per litre from September.

The latest review of the DC and Dairy Crest Direct formula will see the standard litre price rise to 31.929 p/l.

Those on the formula have seen a price increase of 2.079 p/l since March.

The price is 0.54 p/l higher than the standard DC liquid contract, now at 31.390 p/l according to milkprices.com

Company secretary Michael Masters said it was now the fourth month of the six it has been operational the liquid formula will exceed the equivalent standard litre liquid price.

  • DC formula equates to not getting 35p or anywhere near for years and not being able to leave and get a better price elswhere , it is a very bad idea for farmers , brilliant move by DC
