Polish pig numbers increase
The German organisation for pig producers, ISN, says Warsaw Head Office for Statistics figures show there were more than 14.2 million pigs in Poland by November 2009. The growth, albeit it minimal, is attributed to good pig prices and relatively low feed prices. Sheep numbers dropped by 17.2 per cent.
