THE NFU has hailed Dairy Crest’s new contracts as a ‘potentially major achievement.’
And the Union has even said the initiative ‘would appear to meet many of the recommendations of the NFU’s template contract and campaign for fairer milk deals.’
Chief dairy adviser, Hayley Campbell-Gibbons said:”The devil is in the detail but by making these improvements Dairy Crest appears to be offering its farmers some much needed simplification, visibility and confidence.
“We look forward to seeing the full details of these exciting proposals.”
