Foreign-owned agricultural land in US at 22.2m acres
USDA’s Farm Service Agency reports that in 2009, 22.2million acres of US agricultural land was owned in part by foreign persons.
That is an increase of 1.3 million acres from 2008.

The annual FSA report shows foreigners have an interest in 1.7 per cent of all privately held US agricultural land.
Also, some 59 per cent of all US forestland has some foreign ownership.
