French SIMA show
WITH seven halls and 1,300 exhibitors, the five-day SIMA show did not disappoint anyone interested in machinery. FG has a round-up of all the news and pictures from the event.
Filling all seven halls at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Parc des Expositions, it is packed to the seams with 1,330 exhibitors.
France is one of Europe’s most important tractor and machinery markets. Reason enough for many of the country’s manufacturers to reveal new kit for the coming season.

The show will be a major testing ground for manufacturers following last autumn’s global financial crisis. Judging by the number of new machines suppliers are confident but the big question is will visitors be prepared to part with their cash in these uncertain times.
The organisers are confident that more than 200,000 visitors will pass through the doors during the five-day event.

BETTER late than never is a phrase which seems oddly appropriate when applied to British farming at the moment.
