Exact's automatic gate is time saving device
ON the Modulamb stand at LAMMA was the Auto Quad Gate produced by Northern Ireland firm Exact.
This automatic opening gate has a locking mechanism that is released once the weight of the quad is placed on the ramps. The gate then lowers to a drawbridge and springs shut once the vehicle has passed over.
The gate is made from tubular steel that is hot dipped galvanised.
The Auto Quad Gate is available as either a standalone unit priced at around £400 or it can be incorporated into a wider gate spanning up to 5.5m.
Diarmuid Cromie who was representing Exact said the automatic gate is a time saving device with interest from farmers and gamekeepers.

News that land is expected to reach almost £50,000/hectare (£20,000/acre) by 2020 is a double-edged sword for the farming industry – and for our PR beyond it.
