Cheltenham Festival
WHERE fancy hats and glamorous dresses were once the preserve of Ladies Day at Ascot, more and more National Hunt meetings are attracting the well-dressed.
This year’s Cheltenham Festival, the pinnacle of the jumps season for many, was no exception, with its own Ladies Day on the Thursday and the smart set on parade every day of the four-day blue riband event. And despite heavy rain in the weeks preceding the festival, the weather once again came good at Prestbury Park, for the 200,000 plus racegoers.
LIZ FALKINGHAM and MARCELLO GARBAGNOLI went along on Gold Cup day.
