Ben Briggs
I am news editor at Farmers Guardian and head up the news team at the paper. My appointment to this role at the end of 2010 marked a welcome return to the newspaper for me having initially enjoyed a two-and-a-half-year stint as FG sales and markets reporter during the middle of the last decade. During the intervening period I worked as a senior reporter on a local daily paper for three years before editing a bi-monthly business magazine for 18 months. I grew up on a farm in the beautiful Ribble Valley in Lancashire and my parents also run a milkround, so the early morning starts endured by many FG readers are not an alien concept to me!
