BEEF exports from Uruguay to the USA were down 88 pc for April, compared with the same period last year. This trend has continued into the first two weeks of May.
Australian exports are down 22pc for the same period. The only increase in beef exports were from New Zealand, who exported to the US 6 per cent more than the same period last year. All three countries export mainly 90 per cent cow beef for the hamburger and processing trade.
