Beef Expo 2009: Honouring the unsung heroes
STOCKMEN from Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire were presented with an award by the National Beef Assocation to recognise their work in agriculture and their efforts as ‘unsung heroes’.
The nominees were selected on a county basis and all were paid stockmen who had worked in practical agriculture all of their lives.
The winners were Elwin Morgan, stockman at Plymouth Estates, Shropshire; Richard Edgeinton from Hatherley, Gloucestershire; Dave Fletcher, who works for Hyde Brothers at Wooferton, Herefordshire; and Paul Burgess of Clifton Park Farms, Worcestershire.
