Band saw puts speed into pallet dismantling
THOSE looking to diversify into processing and recycling pallets could be interested in Sprite Manufacturing’s band saw pallet stripper, as seen at LAMMA.
Designed to allow broken or damaged pallets to be quickly sawn into component parts for rebuilding, Sprite’s md Steve Quennell suggests earning potential comes from speed.
“With the ability to dismantle up to 400 pallets per day then reassemble and sell the rebuilt pallet for up to £8 each, the saw has enough capability to swiftly redeem its £14,950 price,” he says.
With a three-phase 7.5kw motor driving a spring tensioned steel blade that wraps around two 42kg drive wheels, there’s adequate momentum to power the saw through wet pallets and nails, in seconds, says the company.

By unlocking the export potential China offers the pig industry, not to mention the red meat sector as a whole, we could gain entry into a marketplace which comprises a fifth of the world’s population.
