An appliance of science backcloth to food debate
A NEW exhibition looking at the global food crisis and the debate surrounding GM crops is set to launch at the Science Museum in London, paving the way for a major public debate on the issue.
The event, ‘Future Foods’, will be launched by the Government’s chief scientific officer, Prof John Beddington and will invite people to join the debate by understanding the issues surrounding it.
Emma Hedderwick, exhibition content leader said: “GM is a hot topic, with a lot of opinion about risks on both sides of the debate.”
The exhibition launches on December 17 and culminates in a public debate on January 22.
