The Company of Edgar F Shepherd started in the early 1960's with a tractor and trailer combination collecting woodshavings and sawdust from sawmills in the Newton Aycliffe area for bedding on our own dairy and chicken farm.

Since then we have grown and concentrated on woodshavings, sawdust and sawmill products which are collected and delivered all over the U.K. and Northern Ireland. We are now moving thousands of tones each year and growing year on year. We have invested in new premises and new buildings and are constantly investing in new machinery and a wide range of custom built transport vehicles to suit our customer needs.

Our transport services include Walking Floor Trailers, Bulk Tippers, Roll on Roll off Containers, Curtain sided and Box Trailers which have all been custom built for moving our products which include, Woodshavings, sawdust, woodchips and bark.

Our products once processed if necessary end up being used for animal bedding, compost, industrial burning, wood pellets, horticultural market or the particle board industry.
