Set in some of the most picturesque locations in Cornwall, Duchy College has it all. There's the beautiful moorland and countryside which dominate the campus locations, stunning beaches never more than a few miles away, main towns such as Plymouth and Truro but a short bus ride away. Then there's our success rates, over 95% of completing students gain qualifications and 90% leave with a positive destination. Many students leave with multiple qualifications.

Duchy College has a top quality standard of education with a comprehensive range of qualifications available up to degree level. We believe in learning that is fun and enjoyable. A mixture of highly qualified, full and part-time staff undertake teaching, normally in small groups, encouraging student participation and discussion.

We have a high standard of facilities, including purpose built Learning Resources Centres on both our main campus sites equipped with the latest PC and CD-ROM technology (all with internet access), videos, leaflets and of course, books. We have several farms offering students a wide range of experience including organics, arable and dairy. We also have engineering workshops, stables, a sports hall, a golf range and a social club.

Duchy College works very closely with industrial partners to offer students work placement opportunities, study visits and additional qualifications not just in Cornwall but also in Europe - Sweden, Germany, France and Ireland. These organisations are too numerous to list but include the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, China Fleet Golf and Country Club, The National Trust, BOCM Pauls, Eden Project, SWARD, Silvanus and 3D.

Training and education in agriculture is offered across the county at both campuses – Duchy Home Farm (Stoke Climsland) and Rosewarne. Full-time students are based at the residential site at Stoke Climsland and become thoroughly involved in the activities of the farm through farm duty work and use of the farm in teaching and project work.
The College farms across the county demonstrate a wide range of enterprises. These include cash crops grown at Rosewarne and dairy unit at Stoke Climsland, beef and sheep units at Stoke Climsland and Rosewarne along with a variety of arable crops at both sites.

The College has set up an organic demonstration farm in West Cornwall with European funding. Extensive links with colleges and industry throughout Europe increasingly provide opportunities for students to gain experience of alternative farming systems, through short and longer term work experience placements.
